Natural Prostate Cancer Treatment Options |
| |
It
may be too early to breathe a sigh of relief if
you are given a clean bill of health after your
diagnosis shows that you are free of cancer in
your prostrate gland.
You may still be suffering from a condition known as Benign Prostate Hypertrophy,
which will require some form of preventative treatment
for the foreseeable future.
This means a long term course of hormonal based
alpha blockers, bringing with it some unpleasant
side effects, and many men have opted for a natural
approach rather than become slaves to the drug
therapy. |
|
Currently
there are only two prescription drugs approved by the
FDA to prevent prostatic proliferation. This is the
medical term for the growth of new prostate cells, which
are believed to cause Benign Prostate Hypertrophy, particularly
in men over 50.
These two drugs, Proscar and Hytrin are not known to
produce specific results apart from the fact that they
are amongst the highest earning products in the drug
industry.
For this reason, many men who fall into the category
of being susceptible to prostrate cancer are prepared
to consider natural alternatives to the options that
conventional methods continually lays down as being
the sole option.
Whilst the choice of which direction to take is available
to all, it is always best to consult with your family
doctor before opting for it. |
| |
The
unmistakable fact is that increasingly more middle
aged men are discovering the benefits of holistic
medicine.
They are reluctant to allow the intrusion of material
into their bodies, with guaranteed side effects,
and no definite proof of effectiveness.
Instead they choose the path of a cleaner and healthier
lifestyle, with a more natural diet, a healthier
living pattern through regular exercise and lots
of fresh air and a generally more positive attitude
to life. |
|
This new
attitude, coupled with the scare that they went through
living with the fear of prostrate cancer, will make
them doubly alert to any abdominal problems as well
as attending regular check ups.
In every situation there is an element of risk, and
many members of the medical profession are inclined
to play on people’s fears and uncertainties in
order to persuade them to follow a path that may offer
them very little in return.
